October 1st Meeting

The first Appleton Citywide Parent Network meeting of the year will be at Ferber Elementary on October 1, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Key points to be covered at the meeting include:

  • Introduce new board members
  • Recap of 2017-2018 accomplishments
  • New AASD Wellness Policy
  • Other topic ideas for the 2018-2019 school year

Appleton Citywide Parent Network 10/16 Meeting

Mark your calendar for our first meeting of the 2017-2018 school year.  The meeting will be held on Monday, October 16th @6.30 PM at Richmond Elementary School.  Key topics that will be covered in the meeting include:

  • Important parent topics for the 17/18 school year
  • Parent group involvement
  • Teacher Appreciation 2018
  • Accomplishments from last year school year
  • Nominations for Secretary and Treasurer for 18/19

Next Meeting – December 12th @ Huntley – Parent Group Best Practices

Our next meeting will focus on Parent Group Best Practices.  We will also review the process for securing the photography/yearbook contract starting in 2017/18.  Join us at Huntley Elementary at 6:30!  We have some great topics planned for our future meetings.  On February 13th, we will hold a Conversation Cafe focused on Career Based Learning.  Did you know that all AASD students will be required to have an Academic Career Plan starting in the 2017/18 school year?  Mark your calendars to learn more!  On April 10th, our focus topic will be Digital Citizenship and Cyber Bullying.  Lastly, encourage your elementary school staff to apply for a SPEAK grant.  The next 2 deadlines are February 6th and April 3rd.  Hope to see you on 12/12!

Next meeting October 10 @ Lincoln

Our first meeting of the 2016-17 school year will be held on Monday, October 10th from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Lincoln Elementary school library.  The main topics for this meeting will be feedback on the on-line registration process AND a conversation on our parent groups and how they are evolving to meet the needs of our families and schools.
